A growing pan-European PE fund based in London is looking to hire an experienced and capable individual as Fund Controller, to support their internal operations and help drive future growth.
Description
Our client is a pan-European, London-based PE fund focused on the business services, consumer, and leisure sectors. With a global investor base and over one billion euros in AUM, they are now looking for a highly capable Fund Controller to play a pivotal role at the intersection of the fund’s financial management and operational excellence. You will manage all day-to-day financial and operational aspects of the Fund’s structure, ensuring best-in-class delivery across accounting, valuations, audits, and investor reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO, external fund administrators, and the investment team. Core responsibilities will include:
- Fund financial operations
- Valuation Support
- Audit, Tax, & Governance
- FX & Hedging Oversight
- Data Analysis & New Systems
- New Fund/ Vehicle Support
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ CA or equivalent) with at least 7 years of experience in the private equity industry and at least 4-5 years of experience in a fund accounting position at an established European PE fund. You will need a strong understanding of fund structures, LP reporting, tax considerations, and regulatory frameworks, as well as experience working with fund administrators and auditors. Prior exposure to operational oversight or process improvement is strongly preferred, as is a PE audit background at an established accounting firm.
