Our client is a pan-European private equity group with offices in London, New York, Germany, Italy and elsewhere. They are seeking to appoint a driven and technically strong Financial Controller to their group finance function in London.
Overview
Our client is an international PE group with offices in London, New York, and across Europe. They are looking to hire a Financial Controller to oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions across multiple holding and service entities in Europe. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s financial reporting, manage relationships with external advisors, and contribute to the transformation of finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of management accounts for multiple entities across Europe, in accordance with local GAAPs.
- Management of day-to-day accounting transactions.
- Preparation of the annual financial statements for holding and service companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Acting as the primary contact for external audit and tax advisors.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and systems enhancements.
- Ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
Requirements
The successful candidate for this Financial Controller role will be a fully-qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a minimum of five years post-qualified experience, ideally with 1-2 years in the PE or AWM sectors. You will also need strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/ FRS 102 (familiarity with European GAAPs would be advantageous). Experience managing multi-entity accounting and cross-border reporting is a strict requirement, as is proficiency with ERP/ accounting systems.
