Our client, an established private equity firm based in central London, is looking for a Fund Controller to join the team on an initial six month assignment. The successful candidate will assist in the financial management and control of the funds, taking direct responsibility for internal and external reporting matters. The Fund Controller will be part of a small and high-profile Fund Reporting team and will have previous experience within private equity.
Description
- Prepare accounts and balance reconciliations for various fund entities.
- Prepare and review reporting outputs during the year end and quarterly reporting cycles.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of financial statements and tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures.
- Draft various communications with investors including responses to ad hoc queries, reporting requests, drawdowns and distribution notices.
- Participate in all aspects of fund inflows and outflows including cash movements, fee calculations, expense recharges, drawdowns and distributions.
- Assist in implementing financial procedures, controls and system improvements to enhance efficiencies.
- Various ad hoc projects to help the team achieve and maintain best practice procedures.
Skills
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with relevant PQE experience.
- Previous experience of fund accounting within private equity.
- Calm and able to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent Excel and systems skills.
