Our client is an exciting PE-backed consultancy business working with clients within the alternative assets and private markets industries. They are seeking a dynamic individual with extensive experience within back- and middle-office private equity operations roles to head up the EMEA expansion of one of their divisions. The successful individual will be working closely with clients on a range of mandates as well as building out a regional team from scratch. The business has an office based in central London, which is available for use by all local employees, but equally, there is no requirement for this role to be office-based except when training new hires and on an ad hoc basis as required.

Description

  • Oversee the delivery of services for system selection and implementation. 
  • Attend status meetings, lead steering committee presentations and manage risks/issues.
  • Ensure that a high-quality client experience is delivered from sales through to delivery and project close. 
  • Differentiate the business's services and continuously build client confidence by demonstrating superior knowledge and expertise of client and investor needs.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in relevant situations. 
  • Recruit, train and develop team members to enable the practice to scale. 
  • Develop relationships with key client stakeholders as well as technology vendors and partners.
  • Clearly articulate the firm's value proposition for the practice area.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on content development and client/prospect communications. 
  • Attain revenue and margin goals for the practice.
  • Craft presentations, proposals, and statements of work. 
  • Develop new service offerings with input and guidance from the broader leadership team. 
  • Engage with other teams internally to expand the practice footprint to other clients.

Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in private equity operations, with specific experience in middle and back office operations for accounting, reporting, systems implementation and deal management. 
  • Hands-on experience with eFront or Simcorp Dimension Alternatives preferred. 
  • Ability to coach and develop others, with prior experience of building out a team. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the interpersonal ability to represent the business in interactions with high-profile clients.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Business development experience from a professional services firm would be advantageous. 
  • Hands-on experience with software such as iLevel or Burgiss preferred but not required.
