Our client, a global property group, is looking for a Temporary Management Accountant to join their team for a period of 6 months. The successful candidate will have significant experience in preparing management accounts and collaborating across a high-performing finance team. This role requires an immediate start.
Description
The responsibilities of the Temporary Management Accountant include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the month, quarter and year-end close, including accruals, prepayments and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and liaising with operational finance to resolve any unreconciled items.
- Assisting in the preparation of summary cash reports for external auditors.
- Delivering statutory accounts at year-end and liaising with external auditors.
- Supporting wider finance projects across the firm and delivering other ad hoc financial reporting.
- Collaborating with accounting and reporting teams to aid in continuous improvement and system implementation.
Skills
The skills of the Temporary Management Accountant include but are not limited to:
- Finalist/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills (essential).
- Confident communicator with the ability to adapt = and willingness to support the wider team during peak times.
- Growth mindset with proven experience delivering process improvements.
- Ability to independently perform deliverables to a high standard.
