Our client is a privately-owned education technology business based in the south east of England. They are profitable and have experienced rapid growth since the pandemic. The company has now reached a stage where it requires a full-time CFO to manage the expanding finance function, support the rest of the management team in securing future growth, and prepare for an eventual sale of the business.
Description
We are seeking an experienced, data-driven financial professional and qualified accountant to provide strategic support to the Managing Director and board, leading and developing the finance function as the company continues to grow. The successful candidate will direct the company's financial strategy and take full ownership of the finance function. Alongside managing the reporting, tax, and treasury requirements of the company, you will implement and develop the financial and company KPI reporting framework as the business continues to expand, while acting as a key point of contact for future investors. In short, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced financial professional to join an innovative, early-stage business at a key stage in the company's development.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience of leading a finance function in a small, rapidly growing business and able to use data to support the growth and management of the business. Corporate finance or private equity experience is not an absolute pre-requisite but would be very useful, as would exposure to the education technology sector.
