Our client is a mid-sized public practice firm based in the Thames Valley that, due to recent growth, is now looking to expand its outsourced accounts team. Consequently, they are looking to hire a high-quality accountant with UK GAAP/ FRS experience, who is either newly-qualified, or soon-to-be qualified.
Our client has a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from start-ups to multi-million turnover businesses and offers a full range of services, including audit, tax, payroll, and outsourced accounts. The Financial Reporting team specialises in the production of statutory accounts for micro businesses,SMEs, and charities, particularly in the FMCG, beauty, tech, and healthcare sectors.
Sitting alongside two other managers, you will prepare and review accounts as well as co-ordinate junior members of the team. Key responsibilities will include working closely with senior colleagues to plan and manage the team's workload, preparing and reviewing both single-entity and consolidated statutory accounts, supporting trainees with their learning and development, drafting CT computations, and supporting the firm with other duties as necessary.
The role is a hybrid one, with some time in the office expected during the week.
The successful candidate will be either a qualified or part-qualified accountant. Previous experience in public practice and a strong knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and UK GAAP are essential. A working knowledge of CaseWare and previous supervisory experience are also highly desirable. You will be a dynamic and flexible individual with excellent communication skills and team management.
