Our client is a global, PE-backed testing and research business. Due to internal progression, they are looking to hire a new manager for the global FP&A team.
Description
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this FP&A Manager role requires both commercial and analytical skills and offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the Group’s reporting and analytical practices.
The role’s core responsibility will be for the monthly management reporting cycle, helping to ensure the efficient production of insightful material for the operating and group boards. Additional duties will include helping to lead the Group’s annual budget and mid-year forecast processes, supporting updates to the company’s five year plan, and managing the group’s investment and capital appraisal process in direct support of senior internal stakeholders. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to constantly drive the improvement of processes and systems, supporting in answering investor and external queries, and managing at least one junior analyst.
Skills
Applicants applying for this FP&A Manager role should have a strong background FP&A and a proven track record in delivering continuous process improvement. You will need to have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with at least three years post-qualified experience. Proficiency in presenting complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner, experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ability to work independently, and a proactive attitude to challenge are all essential. Previous experience of systems improvement or transformation, capital project accounting, and private equity would be very helpful.
