A rapidly scaling, PE-backed music company is seeking a first GFC to support the CFO in bringing finance in-house as the business continues to grow.
Description
Our client is a rapidly-growing, well-funded PE-backed scale-up in the music industry, based in Soho. The CFO is looking for a highly competent Group Financial Controller to help them bring finance in-house and support the business as it continues to grow. As GFC, you will play a critical part in ensuring the operational and technical finance functions run like clockwork, with a particular focus on systems improvement and process automation.
Your core responsibilities will be managing the insourcing of the finance operations functions, including setting up new processes, establishing controls, and implementing tools and systems as the company grows; running an efficient month/ quarter-end process in collaboration; managing the integration of new acquisitions; maintaining accurate financial records; preparing statutory accounts; ensuring full tax compliance; treasury and bank relationship management; and line management of a junior accountant.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified and technically strong accountant with excellent academics, a strong audit background, and recent experience within a finance function in a scaling, private equity-backed environment, ideally with international exposure. Experience within the music industry would be highly beneficial.
