Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed, renewable energy business, focussed on supporting commercial, industrial, and public sector partners in reducing their carbon emissions.
Operating at the intersection of infrastructure, energy services, and sustainability, the business has experienced rapid growth in recent years and is backed by a prominent infrastructure investor. It has a strong platform for continued expansion across both existing and new markets and is now in the market for a commercial and hands-on CFO to support that future growth.
Description
The CFO will play a critical role as a strategic partner to the CEO and broader executive team, helping to shape and deliver the company’s ambitious growth plans. Responsible for leading a large and geographically dispersed team and with oversight of all aspects of financial management, the successful candidate will oversee financial strategy, planning and analysis, reporting, control, and capital management.
The successful candidate will also drive operational efficiency and look always at how best to improve or automate financial systems and processes. The CFO will business partner non-finance colleagues while ensuring robust governance and risk management frameworks. Finally, the successful candidate will also support the CEO in any further fund-raising, M&A, or strategic finance that is required.
Skills
We are seeking a commercially astute finance leader with a strong track record in private equity-backed businesses, ideally with experience in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or other capital-intensive sectors. Candidates should bring excellent financial acumen, strategic vision, and strong operational experience. Prior experience in leading finance functions through periods of significant growth and transformation is essential, as is a hands-on approach and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will be a fully-qualified accountant with strong academics.
