We execute assignments in the £60,000 - £250,000 salary range on both a retained search and contingent basis.

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Trainee Consultant with an initial focus on helping newly qualified accountants transition into private equity finance teams. Walker Hamill is a leading independent European executive recruitment business, specialising in accountancy and private equity investment roles in London. Our Private Equity & Financial Services Finance team is at the intersection of our core specialisms. We execute assignments in the £60,000 - £250,000 salary range on both a retained search and contingent basis.

Description

We have an established, 24 month graduate programme that is designed to equip you with the foundation skills required to build a successful career within executive search and recruitment. The programme covers all aspects of candidate sourcing, client engagement and management of both retained and contingent recruitment processes. It’s hands-on, thorough and proven. Throughout the programme, you will support the team through:

  • Mapping our candidate market, with an emphasis on recently qualified accountants and early career talent
  • Proactively contacting prospective candidates about opportunities within the private equity sector
  • Interviewing candidates and helping present private equity opportunities to them
  • Attending pitches and client meetings in conjunction with Consultants, Managers and the Chief Executives
  • Assisting with senior candidate identification and, once confident enough, the senior candidate interviews

You’ll be exposed to all aspects of the executive search and recruitment process with the opportunity for promotion after 12 months.

Skills

For this Graduate Trainee Consultant role, we are seeking a bright, recent university graduate with a keen interest in recruitment and the private equity sector. You must have a 2.1 degree or higher from a reputable university. Moreover, you will be thorough, competitive, hard-working, attentive to detail with excellent communication skills.
