You will be responsible for oversight of all AR operations and play a crucial role in driving performance within the function. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading and motivating a team, building cross-functional relationships and automating processes.

Description

The responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily AR operations, queries and workload management.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the AR team to achieve collection targets and maintain engagement.
  • Monitor aged debt reports, identify risks and implement proactive collection strategies.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of all sales invoicing processes.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on AR performance, trend and areas for improvement.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimise cash flow and customer experience.
  • Contribute to cashflow forecasting and take responsibility for applicable balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and be the point of contact for complex queries, ensuring resolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve communication.

Skills

The skills of the Accounts Receivable Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Proven experience managing or supervising an accounts receivable team.
  • Ability to motivate and engage a team.
  • Previous experience working with public sector customers and their related billing requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
  • Exposure to Saas or subscription-based business models would be advantageous.
  • Experience using NetSuite would be beneficial.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership of results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing environment or organisational structure.
