Walker Hamill has a constant client demand for bright, newly qualified ACAs looking to begin a career in private equity. We work with all types of private equity and alternative funds including large buyout funds, European and UK mid-market investors, growth capital and venture capital. As an extension of our activity in this space, we also recruit into alternative funds specialising in real estate, infrastructure and debt.
Description
We're recruiting for a variety of Fund Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Analyst and Management Accountant roles. These positions will offer exposure to either a PE / Alternatives firm's funds and investments or its management company. These career starting points converge on the same path to becoming a Financial Controller, Finance Director or CFO. As you progress your career, you can expect increasing analytical, commercial, strategic components of your remit. Our consultants are sector specialists who are well placed to advise you on these paths and how to achieve significant financial rewards available within the industry.
Skills
We able to help qualified ACAs from most size practice firms - we have demand for those trained within the 'Big 4' as well as medium and smaller firms, due to the variation in client exposure and tasks performed by trainee accountants. Our clients tend to be looking for:
- Strong academic track record - minimum 2.1 degree from a reputable university
- ACA qualified (or equivalent - we'll also consider high calibre individuals who've complete ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Experience in audit or accounts preparation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A warm, low-ego style with the ability to build strong working relationships with highly intelligent peers, add to the culture of the firm and to thrive in a collegiate, entrepreneurial environment
