Our client is a global compound business which is looking to add a Tax Accountant to the team, taking ownership of tax compliance. Based in Central London, the successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Description

This role reports to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for Tax across the business, which operates in Europe, Asia and America. Part of one of the largest compound and manufacturing businesses in the world, this role will offer exposure to a truly global company, working closely with senior managers across the business. Specifically, this role will work closely with Group Tax providing advice and guidance to the business as needed, as well as working closely with third party (indirect) tax advisors. This position will own the tax compliance for direct, indirect and WHT submissions for the UK entities and wider European subsidiaries. Co-ordinating with difference regional finance teams (USA/EU/Asia), this position will play a key role in ensuring adherence to tax regulations and best practice. The Tax Accountant will prepare and file indirect tax returns including VAT, Intrastat and EC sales lists, making sure these payments are reviewed and processed in a timely manner. Additionally, this person will collaborate closely with the cash forecasting team working through the tax receipts and payments. Any internal or external tax requests, including audits and data reconciliation to SAP will be covered by this position.

This role will have a strong focus on collaboration, the office-based approach across the business will provide ample development opportunities, with the chance to get involved with wider finance projects as well as interact on a regular basis with local and international teams.

Skills

The successful candidate will be a newly or recently qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with indirect tax experience within either practice or industry. A strong understanding of UK tax rules and technical accounting ability is essential. The successful candidate will be able to influence workflow within teams across the business as coordinating input from teams across the world will be a key aspect of the role.
