Our client is a Private Equity backed multi-site business based in central London with sites across the UK and Europe. The company has a sound financial footing and is seeking to continue their growth trajectory across the UK and Internationally in what is a highly fragmented market.
Description
We are now seeking a strong individual to support the Group Financial Controller and CFO with the running of a robust group finance department that delivers strong financial information. You will be responsible for timely and accurate delivery of internal and external reporting as well as maintaining and evolving a strong control environment to cope with an ever-changing business. You will have key responsibilities in financial accounting, reporting and control, including the implementation and subsequent management of a new consolidation, reporting and budgeting system. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will provide support on projects for the Group FC and CFO, including accounting for acquisitions and post-acquisition integrations. You will also business partner with regional Finance Directors and Financial Controllers across the UK and Continental Europe to ensure that the correct financial information is being delivered to the Group function.
Skills
The successful candidate should be qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with intellectual curiosity and ideally significant commercial experience. Prior experience working at Group level in an international business is desirable, as well as strong knowledge of consolidations systems and a high level of competency working with Excel. Having been involved in the implementation of a system would be preferable but is not necessarily essential. You will need excellent communication skills both verbal and written and possess a real "can do, can change” approach.
