Our client is a highly successful Facilities Management group, with a strong track record of growth and a supportive Private Equity shareholder. The business has diversified into a number of complimentary high-growth service areas, through both acquisition and by developing existing divisions, with group revenues now in the region of £350m.

Description

The Group Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the month end processes and will also play an instrumental role in the budgeting and planning cycles. The job holder is expected to be the subject matter expert in IFRS for the group, as well as acting as the key audit contact. Specific responsibilities include ownership of the group consolidation and preparation of group consolidated management accounts and analysis. The role will also ensure robust balance sheet reviews of trading entities along with the owning the group-level reconciliations of investments in subsidiaries, goodwill, acquired intangibles, right of use assets, leases and all equity balances. In addition, the Group Reporting Manager is responsible for the group budgeting and reforecasting process, with a particular focus on working capital and cash flow, along with the review of operating company submissions. Regular ad hoc project work is likely to include accounting and integration of acquisitions along with the preparation of technical papers as required.

Skills

This position requires a professional accounting qualification along with strong technical knowledge of IFRS and proven experience of maintaining and improving controls and procedures. Exposure to different financial systems will be a strong advantage, including experience of adapating and enhancing systems across a number of autonomous operating entities with different business models. The ability to communicate concisely, clearly and persuasively is essential, whether in writing or verbally. Candidates will ideally be able to demonstrate prior experience of managing, coaching and mentoring a team, as well as possessing the level of customer service necessary to promote finance as a business partner across the group.
