Description

The role will act as a business partner to the Chief Digital & Technology Officer's team, playing a pivotal role in driving technological advancements and supporting strategic objectives. As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, insights, and support to the Technology Group, collaborating closely with the leadership team and key stakeholders to understand their financial needs, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure the successful execution of technology initiatives. This role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional business partnering skills, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across the organization.

A key responsibility will be to develop a deep understanding of the Technology Group's objectives, priorities, and challenges, partnering with the leadership team to align financial plans and resources with strategic initiatives and business goals. The role involves conducting detailed financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support decision-making within the Technology Group, providing insights into financial performance, trends, and opportunities for optimisation. The Senior Financial Analyst must build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including technology leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters and actively participating in strategic discussions. Success will involve ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports related to the Technology Group, conducting thorough validation and reconciliation of financial information to identify discrepancies and mitigate risks.

The position is also tasked with tracking KPIs and financial metrics for technology projects and initiatives, monitoring progress against financial targets and highlighting areas for improvement or intervention. There is a continual requirement for ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic projects, investment decisions, and resource allocation within the Technology Group, responding promptly to management inquiries and providing actionable insights. The corporate culture is one of continuous process improvement, with all employees expected to identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and optimise resource allocation, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills

Successful candidates must have a recognised finance qualification, ideally gained in a global public practice. Exceptional business partnering and stakeholder management skills are also essential, with a proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence decision-making at all levels of an organisation. Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably with a focus on business partnering or supporting technology functions, is a definite advantage. The role will require strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to dissect complex financial data in order to identify trends and draw actionable conclusions.

You will work alongside talented professionals who share a passion for excellence, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on technology initiatives.
