Our client is an award-winning British architecture practice with extensive experience of delivering successful projects for both private and public sector clients throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. They are now looking to strengthen the finance function by hiring a new Finance Manager, who will report to the Finance Director and support him in driving forward the practice's financial management.
Description
As Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and help provide guidance to more junior members of the team. The role is based in our client's offices in East London, and the successful candidate will need to commit to being onsite five days per week. On a day-to-day basis, you would lead on the firm's management accounts and forecasting & budgeting, while also business partnering client-facing colleagues by reviewing contracts and fee proposals and also by project accounting work. Our client will also be looking to upgrade their ERP system in the near future, so you will also be intimately involved in this process in support of the Finance Director.
Skills
The successful candidate for this Finance Manager role will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 1-2 years post-qualified experience. Past exposure to the architectural space would be ideal, but they would also consider candidates from a broader professional services background. Experience of project accounting would be very useful. More broadly, our client is looking for a driven and capable individual who is able to act as an effective number 2 to the Finance Director.
