Our client is a household brand and one of the biggest British success stories of the last 20 years. Regularly featuring as one of the Sunday Times’s best places to work, even with revenues approaching £500m a year, it is still maturing from a big little company to a little big company. They are a highly ambitious and entrepreneurial group, showing the world that it’s possible to grow a great business that cares about more than just profit. And that means they need more brilliant people who share their ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of the story.

Description

With greater size comes greater responsibility. It is an exciting time of change, having gone live with their first factory and a new ERP system in the past 18 months. Now, due to an internal move, there is a great opportunity for someone to become their new Finance Compliance Manager, reporting into the Group Financial Controller. You will work with finance and non-finance teams to ensure they have the right rigour around execution of the controls framework, working externally with their shareholder to ensure they are collaborating smartly and benefitting from best practice and efficiencies, and you will lead the efforts with the business on readiness for internal audits and remediation of audit findings with shareholders. You will lead a team development of 2 as well as be a senior prominent finance leader and you'll play a key part in enabling the group to be a responsible business and ensure we are reporting the right things in the right way.

Skills

The role will suit a compliance legend, someone who is comfortable with a robust controls framework as well as having a real passion for improvement with a keen eye on what good looks like. First class communication skills are essential as you’ll be managing control owners spread across the European business and unite them behind a clear message on controls and can engender a positive culture around control effectiveness.

This is an exciting chance to work in collaboration with a newly created team to re-align compliance workload in better ways for controls effectiveness outcomes. You will help them to keep doing business the right way and reinforcing their culture of staying little as they grow big. It’s the relationships and friendships they create while working together, that make them who they are. In return for everything you can bring, they can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities in the UK and across Europe as well as a competitive rewards package.
